This is Alba Trebisonda, born April 23, 2000 to Trebisonda Kennel,which is owned by Mr. Gianbattista Pancheri in Castelmella, Italy. You can see her brief story in the “About Us” page, but to tell you a bit more, Alba (and Dino) were our first Braccos, in 2000. Alba has had four litters, and although her pregnancies have not been easy, she has been a fantastic mother. She has a terrific sense of humor and is known for holding her lips when she’s happy to see you. She exemplifies the Bracco sense of the dramatic in this story: by the time Alba was 6 months old, she and Dan had a very good relationship and she was quite well-trained – however, the only thing he couldn’t stop her doing was eating any poop she could find (and on our small ranch, poop of every kind is NOT difficult to find!) Dan had tried every way he could to insist that she stop; finally one day after yet another fast, he swatted her on the butt (keep in mind that we have NEVER had to swat Alba, and she’s extremely sensitive!) She looked at him, amazed, and then ignored him for a day and a half….. but she never tried poop again!
Due to complications during her last whelping we had to spay her, but at 13+ years she’s showing no signs of slowing down.
Unfortunately she passed away about a year ago at the age of 16. She was my dog and I really did not feel like updating the site. She was the best dog I could ever hope to have and her death hit me pretty hard. So please forgive the late updates.
